Training is usually conducted on the job, but classes are offered at technical schools and community colleges. To become certified, specialists must pass an examination. Accredited recorded technicians must earn an associate’s degree from an accredited college program or from the American health information and management association independent study program. Additionally, they must pass a credentialing examination.

Duties and responsibilities: genetic counselors work with patients and families who have genetic, or inherited, disorders and birth defects. They also counsel people. Genetic counselors often:
·         Educate patients and families about their conditions and how they might best manage their problems.
·         Examine family histories to determine the likelihood of the genetic problems.
·         Assist patients and families in reaching decisions about genetic disorders that do not conflict with their religious or ethical values.
·         Conduct research about genetic disorders.
·         Educate medical professionals and the general public about genetic disorders.

Salary:$25,000- $55,000
Education: students interested in becoming genetic counselors should take a challenging high school, a master’s degree is required, and most need to graduate.

No I wouldn’t like to be a genetic counselor because the be very honest I don’t like it. It seems too difficult.

duties and responsibilities:
epidemiologists study the frequency and distribution of diseases within human populations and environments. Specifically, they measure the incidence of disease occurrence and relate to it different characteristics of populations and environments. Epidemiologists perform research, education, and public health practice in universities, government agencies, international organizations, and private corporations. Epidemiologists often:
·         Work on developing or refining methods of  measuring and evaluating disease occurrences
·         Develop and recommend public health policy.
·         Study or research chronic diseases, infectious diseases, disease outbreaks, injuries, occupations, and environment.
Average salary: $30,000-$50,000
Educational requirements:
Students should take the most challenging high school courses (including AP or IB courses)
Available in science, math, and English.
Epidemiologists have, as a minimum, master’s degrees in public health. Undergraduate requirements for admissions into public health graduate programs vary by schools but usually include strong backgrounds in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and or statistics.
