Duties and responsibilities: occupational therapists help people who are mentally emotionally, or physically disabled adjust to handicaps and regain abilities to perform daily living and self care skills they work as part of a team with physicians, counselors, and physical therapists.
Occupational therapists design therapy programs and work closely with patients to observe them, help them and monitor their progress. They frequently design special equipment to aid patients and help with their therapy. They also teach patients how to adjust to work and home life after becoming disabled by injury or any sickness. Most occupational therapists are employed  at hospitals, and many of them work at nursing homes. Some work at schools for the handicapped, rehabilitation centers, or at adult daycare centers
Average salary : $26,000- $ 45,000
Educational requirements: students who want to become occupational therapists should take the most challenging high school, math, science, and English courses.
All states require either a bachelor`s  or masters degree includes clinical experience and successful completion of national examination to become a certified occupational therapists



 I would like to be a occupational therapist because its worth the money because you do it for a good cause helping the people who are not strong enough to help themselves.

                              Progress report on my 100 goals.
I’m coming so close in my goals in my goals I wrote that I want to do all my homework and class work. And so far I have been doing very well in all my classes and have been doing all my work and homework.
I go home and study and read and then I do my homework, then I do some left over work I didn’t finish in my classes. And I have been also helping out a lot in my house cleaning all the house and listening to my parents. And I am also waiting for my birthday to come on feb 22 to r each 15 <3

                         Nursing home administrator
Duties and responsibilities: The nursing home administrators plan and direct operations of nursing homes and long term care facilities. They supervise personnel, financial, medical, and nursing administration.
Most of them work in nursing homes but some work for large corporations that control many facilities. Some of the are involved in teaching and research.
Average salary: $40,000 - $55,000
Educational requirements: the students of all over the world should take the most challenging high school courses in business, science, math, and English.
Requirements differ, but most states require nursing home administrators to have at least a bachelor’s degree in nursing home administration, complete and additional internship program that can pass as a comprehensive examination.

                        finish freshman year !
my number 1 goal this year (2014) is to finish freshman year nice and clean. i been doing all my home work. i been doing all my class work , i have my own matirial for every class. i am more motivated in class. i pay more attention, no more goofing around or playing games. my parents always told me " you go to school to learn not to have friends or play games " and they are right. they have hope in me. and i have hope in my self. i want to pass all 3 years. i want to really finish freshman year with straight A`s or B`s. i want to make my parents happy. i want to prove my dad wrong, that i can do good.

                     Nuclear medicine technologist
Duties and responsibilities: nuclear medicine technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive substances) to detect and treat disease. They then position equipment over patients to make images. These pictures allow physicians to identify abnormal areas. This helps in diagnosing illness.
Nuclear medicine technologists explain these tests to patients and administer radioactive doses by mouth or injection. They also perform laboratory tests on tissue samples. They must follow strict safety regulations due to the dangers of radiation effects to their bodies and organs.
Their work is performed in specialized hospital departments, clinics, or laboratories. Level of work performed varies depending upon level of training and education completed.
Average salary: $28,000- $42,000

Educational requirements: students take the most hardest science and math also English courses in high school. Nuclear medicine technology training programs vary in length from one to four years. Associate and bachelor degrees are offered in colleges and universities. Courses include training in safety, radiation, procedures, physical science, effects of radiation to the body and organs, and computer techniques. Almost all states require licensing, and all technologists must meet federal standards for administering and using of radioactive materials that they need.

                                  GLENN CUNNINGHAM
Glenn Cunningham was a American distance runner and an athlete considered by many the greatest American miler of all time. He even won the James E. Sullivan award in the top amateur athlete in the United States in 1933. He was born in Atlanta, Kansas but grew up in Elkhart, Kansas to henry Clinton Cunningham and Rosa Agnes Cunningham. Cunningham was nicknamed the “Kansas Flyer “ the “ Elkhart Express “ and the “ iron horse of Kansas.”  His legs very bad burned in an explosion causes when someone put gasoline instead of kerosene in the can at his school house by accident when he was eight. His brother Floyd was thirteen. Floyd died in the fire. When the doctors recommended amputating glens legs, he was distressed his parents would not allow it. The doctors predicted he might never walk normally again.
He lost the flesh on his knees and shins and all the toes on his left foot. He transverse arch was practically destroyed. However, his great determination, coupled with hours upon hours of a new type of therapy, enabled him to gradually regain the ability to walk and to proceed to run. It was in the early summer of 1919 when he first tried  to walk again. Roughly two years after the accident. He had a positive attitude as well as a strong religious faith. His favorite bible verse was  Isaiah 40;31: “ but those who wait on the lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk around and not faint.
Cunningham won the Sullivan medal in 1933 for his various running achievements in middle distance. In 1932 Olympics he took 4th place in the 1500 m. and in 1936 berlin Olympics, he took silver in the 1500 meters.

                Monitor surveillance technician
Monitor surveillance technicians observe the electrical activity of heartbeats which is graphically displayed on series of monitors in cardiac care units of hospitals. They examine this pattern and provide the results to physicians and nursing staff. They :
·        Gather and report heart pattern information on patients.
·        Operate monitoring computers that simultaneously display multiple patient results.
·        Identify heart patterns changes and abnormalities.
·        Clean and maintain equipment, battery stacks, and writing systems.
Average salary: $26,000- $41,000
Educational requirements: students wanting to become monitor surveillance technicians should take math, science, and computer technology courses in high school.
Upon graduation from high school they may enroll in training programs at vocational schools, community colleges, or hospitals. Program length varies from three months to two years.

I wouldnt like to be a monitor surveillance technician because it seems boring and you have to take classes like MATH/SCIENCE/COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY i dont like those subjects. although the amount of money is good.

Duties and responsibilities: health sciences librarians and library technicians collect and organize medical information and help practitioners find the information they need for patient care, education, research, and administration.
Librarians select and acquire book, journals, and other library material. They also establish electronic and digital database information systems. They organize this information into collections and develop catalogs for access and provide reference assistance to patrons. They coordinate and control budgets and supervise library technicians.

Average salary: $20,000- $30,000 (library technicians)
$35,000- $55,000 ( librarians )
 Educational requirements: students should take challenging high school courses in information management, science, math, and English. Health sciences library technicians training varies by employer. Some provide on the job training, but all prefer that students complete library technician programs at a community college or technical school, they associate degrees that can be earned by many of the programs.
Health science librarians should earn an undergraduate degree in one of the life sciences and must earn a maters degree in library science from a program that is accredited by the American library association. Some library association. Some library science have graduate programs offer specialized courses in health science.
